Levinsky College of Education, Tel Aviv

Like in the last few years, our annual Spring Conference will be held this year in Tel Aviv, at Levinsky College of Education. Continuing this year’s theme Speaking of Speaking, but not forgetting other language skills, we’ve made sure to include sessions on listening, writing and reading as well as cover such topics as literature, special educational needs, vocabulary and grammar – something for everyone! In addition to the variety of presentations, there will be a panel session discussing – and possibly debunking – various EFL myths, and a special (by pre-registration) workshop with Prof. Penny Ur on combining vocabulary and oral work.  The programme of the enriching day will be bookended by two stimulating plenary talks: Jane Cohen, national MOE counselor for ‘Keep Talking’ programme, will offer national and personal perspectives on facilitating speaking and the brain researcher Dr Orit Elgavi-Hershler will share fascinating insights into the feeling and learning brain. We are looking forward to seeing you on March 25th.
